Packing, packing

Well we have finally started packing. Yesterday we bought 3 huge--like coffin-size--plastic storage containers and 5 smaller ones to start packing up everything for the move. Most of our stuff is going to be stored in my mom's basement until next spring when we move into our own place, so I wanted to be sure it would stay dry. While we are staying at Mom's we really won't need much of our stuff besides clothes, so I'm really packing things for storage rather than moving.

Darling fiancé is supervising our CD migration. We are moving all the CDs from jewel cases into two big books. I know we are so behind on this. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner; it is going to save soooooo much space. I'm thinking of it as a baby step to going all digital when we get an IPod. DF is so cute; he took Angel babe's alphabet flash cards and laid them out on the living room floor from A to Z. Then the two of them distributed our entire CD collection into 26 piles. DF is very excited about the whole process; he is very good and organizing things. Good for him, because I can't even get through emptying the linen closet without taking a break.

I probably won't be posting very much over the next few weeks, we are going to Florida to visit my dad this weekend and the rest of the time I will be tearing our apartment apart and trying to keep a positive attitude. I am very excited about our move and can't wait to get back to Buffalo. But having a messy house and chaos all around tends to make me very cranky and bitchy. I need to focus on keeping it together and not taking my anxiety out on my family. Deep breaths...deep breaths...
